About Me - An Edmonton Mortgage Broker for Over a Decade

As an Edmonton mortgage broker for over 10 years, I’ve witnessed a lot of different scenarios. From self employed client to people who just got out of bankruptcy, not much as missed my plate, sort of speak.
I never planned on being a mortgage agent, I kind of fell into it. I was buying and selling mortgages (wholesaling) at the time, out of Edmonton and it just made sense to go ahead and get my licence as a professional mortgage broker.

As far as I know, I was one of the first mortgage brokers to run his business completely paperless. From the moment I started, I vowed to not have stacks of folders full of client information laying about. To this day, I know many mortgage brokers who still have everything in manila folders. I find this a huge security issue and do not agree with this practise. Client information should be kept secure at all times and in my eyes, not doing so is a recipe for disaster. I started off right and never looked back.

For the future, I plan to continue to help people get quality home financing. There is little I enjoy more than getting a mortgage for a person or family that thought they could not get a mortgage and who believed they were doomed to rent forever. That is a feeling I wish I could sell because if I could, I would be a wealthy man!
I continue to educate real estate agents to qualify their clients properly before wasting their valuable time and continue to improve my knowledge and stay on top, if you will, of the latest mortgage industry news.
